Kraft Recalling Tons of Individually Wrapped Cheese Singles

Kraft voluntarily recalled 36,000 cases of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product due to a choking hazard with the wrappers.

The recall states that a small piece of the wrapper may remain on the cheese slice which may result in choking.

We deeply regret this situation and apologize to any consumers we have disappointed." - Heinz-Kraft spokesperson

According to the Kraft Heinz company, 10customers have reported the plastic wrapper sticking to a cheese slice, and 3 of those have reported choking.

The recall includes this information on the packages: 3-lb. and 4-lb. sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product with a Best When Used By Date of 29 DEC 15 through 04 JAN 16, followed by the Manufacturing Code S54 or S55.
