Kinks lead guitarist Dave Davies is heading back on the road next month for a select batch of dates. Davies, who is the younger brother of the band's primary songwriter and frontman Ray Davies, is on the mend after suffering a stroke in 2004. Dave kicks off the nine-show mini-tour over three nights -- May 27th, 28th, and 29th -- at Manhattan's City Winery and winds the jaunt down on June 9th in Agoura Hills, California at the Canyon Club.

Dave Davies, who has always battled his brother Ray for attention and control of the Kinks, says that he's responsible for the band's signature sound on "You Really Got Me" which propelled them to fame: "It wouldn't have been a record without, in all modesty, I think it wouldn't have been a record without that guitar sound on it, so it's like it paved the way for our whole career."
