He's enjoyed chart-topping success as a solo artist and as the lead singer of a supergroup, and he's coming to South Dakota in April.

John Waite will take to the stage at Royal River Casino in Flandreau, on Friday, April 17th.

Waite burst onto the music scene as the lead singer of The Babys in 1975. The band scored a pair of Top 20 singles in the U.S. - 'Isn't It Time' (1977) and  'Every Time I Think of You' (1978).

After leaving The Babys in 1981, Waite launched a solo career, which hit its peak with the #1 single 'Missing You' in 1984.

In 1987, Waite In 1987, teamed up with Jonathan Cain and Neil Schon from Journey to form Bad English. The supergroup put out two albums and hit the top of the charts with 'When I See You Smile' in 1989.

The opening act that night is John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band.

The legendary Rhode Island group began in 1983 and is best known for their single 'On The Dark Side', which hit the top of the Billboard Rock Chart in 1984 after being included in the soundtrack for the film Eddie and the Cruisers.
