Aerosmith's Joe Perry now has himself a limited-edition guitar courtesy of Gibson.

His 1959 Les Paul Standard has been reproduced, and we have Slash and Eric Johnson to thank for it, as they also owned this particular guitar. It was Slash who returned the guitar to Perry at his 50th birthday party in 2000.

Gibson has limited the run to just 300 guitars: 50 that are aged and signed by Perry, 100 aged guitars and 150 finished in Gibson's VOS process -- a gently-aged patina in the finish and hardware.

Perry says the guitar has "got everything a great Les Paul is supposed to have... It's not a high-output guitar, so it's got a lot of tone… And it's got all the natural sustain and warmth, and when you turn it up it growls."
