JazzFest 2015 is looking for a few good volunteers.

If you love music, the outdoors and don't mind the heat JazzFest would love to have you help volunteer during this years event.

JazzFest is quickly approaching, July 16-18 at Yankton Trail Park and the Jazz and Blues crew is still looking and accepting applications for volunteers.

The people who volunteer out at JazzFest play a key role in the success of the event, along with helping keep the event free every year. These are the folks that ensure the safety, security, and enjoyment for all who attend.

JazzFest volunteers work in all areas at the festival, from collecting donations at each gate, to working with children in the Kid’s Area, to selling drink tickets and other merchandise.

Plus, there are a couple of terrific side benefits of volunteering. You get to work on your summer tan while listening to the likes of Boz Scaggs, Grace Potter, Marcia Ball and many, many, more fantastic jazz and blues acts all three days! Oh yeah, did I mention volunteers also get a free JazzFest T-shirt?

If this sounds like something for you, go to the JazzFest Sioux Falls website to sign up. Or if you have additional questions, feel free to call their office at 605.335.6101.

The minimum age to volunteer is 15. Younger volunteers are welcome, but they ask that they volunteer with a parent or guardian. Volunteers between the ages of 15-17 must have a signed parent release form.

JazzFest is organized by the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society, a non-profit arts organization.
