Trying to select the perfect name for your baby can sometimes be a bit of a formidable task. A recent survey said Minnesota parents-to-be can spend up to 47 hours trying to decide on the perfect name for their little bundle of joy!
Unless you're naming your baby after a relative or someone you know, many Minnesotans these days turn to the internet to see which names are popular. So, to help out, the crew at Names.org compiled the Most Popular Baby Names in Minnesota for 2023 based on Social Security Administration data on births and user interest on its website.

And here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, when it comes to boys, Henry ranked number one as the favorite name this year, followed by Oliver and Theodore. Seven of Minnesota’s top 10 boys’ names are also on the national top 10 list, while the three names unique to Minnesota are Owen, Jack, and Leo.
Meanwhile, for girls, Charlotte took the top spot as the favorite name in the Bold North in 2023. Olivia and Amelia came in second and third. And, seven of Minnesota’s top 10 girl’s names are also on the national top 10 list, while the three names unique to Minnesota are Eleanor, Nora, and Hazel.
