Iowa Country Music Festival Moving To Adventureland in 2024
One of Iowa's top country music festivals is changing things up in 2024 and moving to a brand new location!
For the past 15 years, Guthrie's River Ruckus has been held in its hometown of Guthrie Center, Iowa. Year number 16 will bring some big changes, including new dates and a brand-new location! According to a press release, the 2024 Guthrie River Ruckus will happen June 7th and 8th and will be held at Adventureland Resort in Altoona!
The press release states that the move will allow for a wider selection of lodging options including Adventureland Inn and Campground, as well as more restaurants and parking. The festival itself will be held in an area just west of the theme park. Plus, as an added bonus, all tickets purchased for the Ruckus will also include admission to Adventureland Theme Park and Adventure Bay Water Park during the two-day festival!
Organizers say that they will miss being in Guthrie Center, but that they are excited to be in a more centralized location that is easily accessible for fans.
The Guthrie River Ruckus Music Festival was started in 2009 and utilized the new amphitheater at the Guthrie Center Fairgrounds. Since its debut, the Ruckus has hosted artists like Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, Miranda Lambert, and more! Last year's Ruckus featured artists including Hardy and Riley Green.
More information on tickets, camping, and the artists performing at this year's festival will be coming soon! For the latest, head to GuthrieRiverRuckus.com.
