St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in St. Paul say a pedestrian lost their life after being hit by a pick-up truck Monday morning.

Limited information is available, however the St. Paul Police Department says the fatal incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. 

It happened at the intersection of West 7th St. and West Maynard Dr. in the southwestern portion of the capital city.

The preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian was crossing West 7th against a red light when it was hit by the eastbound pick-up. Police say the driver of the pick-up is cooperating with the investigation.

The identities of the pedestrian and driver have not been released. It’s not clear as of Monday morning if the pedestrian died at the scene.

The fatal incident remains under investigation.
