Dakota News Now is reporting on another scam that is being perpetrated on some customers of Levo Credit Union. Levo is warning its customers to be on the lookout for scam texts claiming to be from them.
This apparently is happening to customers of financial institutions across the country, as well as here in Sioux Falls. The advice is that if you get a weird text from someone claiming you had a purchase or expenditure you can't recall, it could very well be someone trying to scam you for your financial and personal info.
Levo said if it were to send a customer a text, it would be from a 1-800 number, not from a link. That text would also have the last four numbers of the customer's card number.

Levo also reiterated that they would never text or email a customer for personal information.
