While the company has not yet released a public list of the specific individual locations slated for closure, roughly 200 of these shutdowns are expected to occur by the end of 2026.
The company is targeting specific types of underperforming restaurants for these closures:
Aged Locations: Most are franchisee-owned and more than a decade old.
Financial Underperformance: Targeted stores typically have average unit volumes under $600,000 and generate negative income.
Proximity: Some closures will occur where sales can be effectively transferred to a nearby existing restaurant.
Strategic Transformation: These closures represent about 8.5% to 9% of the chain's total North American footprint.
