Great Plains Zoo’s Kids Day Is the Perfect Summer Adventure
Make the Most of Summer Adventures
There's not a lot of summer left for kids and families to enjoy, so you've got to take all the opportunities you can, while you can.
The Great Plains Zoo is a great destination for people year-round, but especially in the summer when all the animals are out, the weather is warm, and families are looking for something educational, informational, and just plain fun to do!

Kids Day: A Fun-Filled Event Awaits
This upcoming Saturday, August 8, is Kids Day at the Great Plains Zoo. From 9 AM to 5 PM, there will be no shortage of fun things for kids to do.
From 9 AM to 4 PM, there will be all kinds of lawn games to be played and plenty of sidewalk chalk to draw with for blossoming artists.
The big family Toy Swap is going on from 10 AM to 3 PM. This is a great chance for families to bring in their unwanted toys and swap them with other families. If you bring 5 toys, you can leave with 5 "new" toys. All toys are donated, so please note that the age and condition of toys may vary.

Easy Toy Donations Before Kids Day
If you'd like to drop off toys before Kids Day, that is perfectly fine too. There will be a Zoo Events team member outside the zoo entrance on Thursday and Friday, August 6 and 7, from 9 to 11 AM and 1 to 4 PM on both days, accepting toy donations from the community.
For more information on zoo events, admission prices, and online tickets, see the Great Plains Zoo or call 605-215-6392.
