Dakota News Now is reporting that Ford is recalling 1.5 million vehicles due to a rear camera equipment issue. The report indicates that the camera "may show a blank or distorted image on the center display screen while the vehicle is in reverse." This could lead to a higher risk of an accident.
This recall affects vehicles from the years 2015 to 2019, of these models: Lincoln Navigator, Lincoln MKC, Mustang, Ranger, Transit, Transit Connect, Econoline, Edge, Expedition, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, and F-550 SD.

Ford is aware of 18 accidents due to this problem, but no injuries have been reported, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) report.
NHTSA says owners will be notified about the recall by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a Lincoln or Ford dealership to have the repairs done at no cost.
