Once the news broke, all the stores inside the mall went into immediate lockdown mode as law enforcement officers began to canvas the mall searching for the alleged shooter.

According to the Tea Storm Chasers, eyewitness reports said the sound of several gunshots could be heard by patrons inside the mall, and allegedly three shell casings from a handgun were found by authorities during their search of the premises.

Unconfirmed reports also stated that the alleged shooter was a juvenile male in his mid to late teens. The suspect possibly fled the mall before law enforcement officials arrived.

Law enforcement agencies could be seen searching and interviewing patrons as they quickly worked to evacuate the Empire Mall area.

Surveillance from mall cameras will be used to aid police in their search.

At this time, no injuries are reported, and no suspects are in custody as the search for the suspect continues.

More information regarding this developing story will be posted as it becomes available.
