Check Your Ding Dongs…There’s Been A Major Recall!
Check your Ding Dongs immediately! If you've got Hostess Ding Dongs in your pantry, it's time to check those dates...they are being recalled.
J. M. Smucker Company has issued a recall for select lots due to mold contamination.
What You Need to Know:
The affected Ding Dongs have "best by" dates ranging from August 30 through September 3, 2025.
If your packages fall within this date range, don't eat them...even if they look perfectly fine on the outside.
Why This Matters:
Mold contamination is no joke. While you might think cutting off the moldy parts would solve the problem, medical experts strongly advise against this approach.
Mold can produce invisible toxins that spread throughout the entire product, making the whole thing potentially harmful to consume.
What to Do:
Look for the "best by" date printed on the package.
If your products fall within the recall window, dispose of them safely and contact Hostess for information about refunds or replacements.
Don't take chances with moldy food. When in doubt, throw it out.
