
Big Costco Meatloaf Recall In Iowa: Potential Salmonella Risk
The recalled item is the Costco Kirkland Signature Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes and Glaze sold in Iowa and 25 other states.
The Costco meatloaf recall is impacting shoppers due to a potential risk of Salmonella contamination.
Salmonella is a type of bacteria that can cause foodborne illness, with symptoms including diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps.
Costco, in cooperation with federal and state health agencies, has removed the affected products from store shelves.
Customers who purchased the recalled meatloaf are advised not to consume it and to return it to their local Costco for a full refund.
It was sold refrigerated in the deli section near the rotisserie chickens and other heat-and-eat prepared meals.
The affected packages carry sell-by dates between March 5 and March 16, 2026, and were sold at Costco locations between March 2 and March 13.
