Wreaths Across America has been a non-profit organization since 2007 and the tradition of wreath laying on Veteran's tombstones has been around even longer.  In 1992, when a Maine man's wreath company was left with extra wreaths at the close of the holiday season he donated them to this cause. Those 5,000 wreaths were laid on veterans' graves at Arlington National Cemetery that year and the movement has grown to a national event.Today more than 2,500 locations participate in laying the wreaths out of remembrance and respect for our nation's brave servicemen and women.
