We may be walking up to a bit of snow on Saturday morning. The weather folks have been tracking it all week, and it looks like Sioux Falls is in for its first snow of the season.

SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. General snow accumulations of one to two
  inches with localized three to four inch amounts. The higher snow
  amounts are most likely between Sioux Falls and Sioux City.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Iowa, southwest
  Minnesota, and southeast South Dakota.

* WHEN...From 5 AM to noon CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.

The National Weather Service says"Winter Weather Advisories are issued when snow, blowing snow, ice, sleet, or a combination of these wintry elements is expected but conditions should not be hazardous enough to meet warning criteria.  Be prepared for winter driving conditions and possible travel difficulties."
