These Stadiums Are Big Enough to Hold Entire South Dakota Cities
The size of sports stadiums always blows my mind. I almost can't wrap my mind around a structure that can hold so many people.
Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where the University of Michigan plays football, has a capacity of 107,601! I may be too small town to really get that. All those people in one place, can you imagine the parking?
I grew up in Nebraska, and every fall we'd hear about another sellout crowd at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln where the Huskers play. That's over 85,000 people crammed into that open-air oval.

Can You Fit All of Sioux Falls in a Stadium?
With a population of just under one million people, South Dakota is my kind of desolate. We have what we need, and very little else. I like a place where the empty countryside is a 15-minute drive away.
The biggest city in South Dakota is Sioux Falls, and if we really stretch, the Sioux Falls metro is about a quarter million people. That is a huge city to me. The population of Sioux Falls could fill three Memorial Stadiums.
That brings up an interesting question - Which sports stadiums could hold the entire population of South Dakota's biggest towns?
