It doesn't really matter if the first car you ever bought and paid for yourself was brand new or just, well, an old wreck.  You loved it anyway!  There's just something about that first car, that feeling of knowing you weren't driving Dad's car anymore.

Nope, this one was all yours! And of course, I say 'car' because 'back in the day' it was a car. These days? It could be a pickup, SUV, or some other type of transportation.

Anyway...

For me that first car was a 1963 Chevy Impala, white with a red interior, 2-door hardtop (if you don't know what a hardtop is, ask an elder person).  Of course, it was 10 years old, and used more oil than it did gas, but it was a beauty 'cause it was mine!

$500 bought it and of course, I added the necessary options...under-dash 8-track, Kraco speakers in the back window, and let 'er rip!

How about you?  Depending on your age, it could be a 1932 Ford Coupe, a 1956 Pontiac, a 1975 Buick, a 1990 GMC pick-up, or maybe a 2005 Saturn. But no matter what it was, doesn't that memory about the first one bend nice and warm?
