‘Golden Bachelor’ TV Crew Spotted Filming In Minnesota Town
"The Golden Bachelor" is one of the most anticipated shows of the year. The spin-off "Bachelor" television show is going to prove that people can still find love at any age.
The lucky single ladies who will be dating the "Golden Bachelor" won't be officially revealed until Wednesday, August 30th. However, there were camera crews seen in a Minnesota town filming for what appears to be a Hometown Date.
So who is the "Golden Bachelor" that's exploring Minnesota? Meet Gerry Turner. Entertainment Weekly did a great feature story about one of the most eligible senior citizens in the country.
He's 72 years young and a retired restaurateur currently living in the state of Indiana. Gerry had an amazing bond with his high school sweetheart and wife Toni. Unfortunately, she passed away a few years ago due to an unforeseen illness. Through his heartbreak, Gerry's two daughters and his two granddaughters have kept him strong. It's because of their support that Gerry is ready for his second chance at love.
The Iowa native is very active! People Magazine says Gerry enjoys a lot of hobbies including pickleball, hosting barbeques, cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams riding four-wheelers, and spending time with his family and friends.
The "Golden Bachelor" is set to premiere on Thursday, September 28th on ABC. But like any television show, spoilers are already swirling the internet.
Blogger and avid reporter of the dramatic 'Bachelor' franchise, Reality Steve is reporting the TV crew for the "Golden Bachelor" was seen filming in Minneapolis, Minnesota last Monday, August 21st. Reality Steve is assuming this was during a Hometown Date, so if there's a Minnesota woman on the cast list she'll most likely be in Gerry's final four. The reality dating show was seen by the Stone Arch Bridge.
It won't be long now until we are glued to our television screens watching Gerry's love story unfold. Personally, I'm excited to see the golden generation have their chance in the spotlight. I think Gerry is the perfect candidate to represent this group!
