‘Idol’ Dream Ends For Now For Fergus Falls, Minnesota Singer
It was the last Monday night for Fergus Falls, Minnesota singer Chris Tungseth on American Idol.
American Idol honored past Idols with a night filled with nostalgia, and Chris' journey put Minnesota in Idol history books for years to come.

Idol icons Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson made their big return as guest mentors for the Top 5. And after 20 years, Paula Abdul takes her seat back in the judge's chair.
Randy Jackson knew when Chris walked through the door that "the party starts now." He also saw that Chris' voice has something to share.
"That's what you should show. That vulnerability. So when you're out there looking into the audience, say that to them."
There was another special part to this night. In a crossover twist, professional dancers from Dancing with the Stars joined the Top 5 finalists in memorizing performances.
Chris was joined by dancers Rylee Arnold and Gleb Savchenko as he sang "Northern Attitude" from Noah Kahan. Just a Minnesota man with a guitar in his hand and a song to sing.
Paula Abdul praised his "gorgeousness" in his voice.
You have this beautiful, tender, ache in your voice. It's almost like you're letting us in on a secret that you finally trusted us with. And we're here to protect it because it's beautiful.
But wait there's more! American Idol favorites made the night memorable by performing with the Top 5 Finalists. Chris Tungseth was paired with Idol Alum Bucky Covington from Season 5.
The song they performed together was "The Thunder Rolls" from the one and only Garth Brooks.
Chris' and Bucky's voice really complemented each other. And the judges loved it all from the hair, attitude, and vocals...the whole package!
So Is Chris Moving On To The Season Finale Top 3 of American Idol?
If you thought last week was a tough vote, this one felt like you were picking your favorite child. In the end...Chris' amazing Idol journey came to an incredible end.
Chris, you have made the Sioux Empire so proud, especially those in Fergus Falls. Thank you for the memorable season and for sharing your gift. Keep singing and moving mountains!
