Huge Multi-Act Concert Just Announced For Minnesota State Fair Grandstand
With the 2025 Minnesota State Fair quickly approaching, I was just thinking to myself that there was one glaring hole in their otherwise full Grandstand entertainment lineup.
The final Saturday of the fair, up until today, had no entertainment announced. Just yesterday, I was trying to guess who, if anybody, might get added in the final weeks before the fair gets going this year on August 21.
It looks like we need not wonder anymore! The fair's organizers just this morning announced a multi-act lineup of some fun early-2000s throwback performers to complete this year's Grandstand roster.
The show includes a total of four acts that will all come together to put on a fun night of entertainment. Who's performing? Here's what to know!
Act One: Ying Yang Twins
The duo, made up of members D-Roc and Kaine, hit the scene in 1996 with the song “Whistle While You Twurk", churning out hip hop hits like "Say I Yi Yi", "Salt Shaker", and "Wait (The Whisper Song) and collaboration hits like "Badd" and the smash hit "Get Low" with Lil Jon.

Act Two: Mýa
Grammy-winning R&B singer Mýa is next up, with early 2000s hits like "Case of the Ex" and "My Love Is Like...Wo" and her collaboration hit "Lady Marmalade" that she did with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, and Pink.

Act Three: Ja Rule
The iconic voice of New York rapper Ja Rule continues the night, with a lengthy list of hits that include songs like "Livin' It Up", "Always on Time", "Mesmerize", and his debut hit "Holla Holla" from 1999.
Act Four (Headliner): Nelly
Multiplatinum, three-time Grammy award-winning rapper Nelly closes the night out. From his debut single "Country Grammar" in 2000 to hip hop hits like "Ride Wit Me" and "Hot In Herre" to country-crossover collaborations with the likes of Tim McGraw and Florida Georgia Line, Nelly will bring the house down with a couple of decades' worth of hits.
Show Details
The show will start at 7 pm on Saturday, August 30 at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand. Tickets for the night go on sale starting at 10 am on Friday, July 18.
You can get tickets through the Minnesota State Fair website, ranging from $54 to $121.75 on the party deck.
