Iowa Overpass Uses KISS Lyrics for Safety Message – Peter Criss Loves It

An electronic billboard on an overpass in Iowa has gotten the attention of Peter Criss from the rock group KISS.

A lyric from the band's song "Beth" has gained much attention since being posted. It reads "Beth, I hear you texting - but I can't reply right now."

The actual lyrics parodied are:

Beth I hear you calling
But I can't come home right now
Me and the boys are playing
And we just can't find the sound

Criss posted the sign on his website along with a caption that reads "Don't Text and Drive!"

This isn't the first time the Iowa DOT has posted messages that resonate with motorists. A previous one said, "Tailgating is for football - not highways." An earlier edgy sign read, "Does your blinker not work or what?"

"Get your head out of your apps and drive safely" and "Not buckled? You're killing me Smalls." were also featured on the busy roads.

These are great life-saving messages that give motorists a chuckle while driving, but we hope drivers are taking them to heart.
