Medical marijuana advocates in Colorado are giving pot to their pets to ease their pain, but veterinarians say that giving weed to them will do more harm than good.

Advocates see it as a way to help get the country over the whole 'reefer madness' mentality and give dogs some relief from the pains of growing older so they can still get the exercise they need while fighting arthritis.

According to vets, toxicity cases with dogs have risen dramatically since marijuana was legalized and they continue to warn pet owners against giving them the icky sticky.
