How Does the Big10 Commish Feel About the Failed CFB Playoff Expansion?
Over the last few weeks the path towards the College Football Playoff expanding has collapsed and it doesn't appear that there will be any changes until 2025.
That news has a lot of people throughout the sport discussing the reasons behind the delay as well as their own opinions on whether or not there should be expansion in the future at all.
One of those individuals who carries a lot of weight within the sport is Big 10 Commissioner Kevin Warren and according to the Associated Press, he wasn't in favor of kicking the can down the road on expanding the playoff.
So how does the Big 10 Commissioner feel about the playoff not expanding any time soon?
“To be very clear, the Big Ten Conference supports expansion of the college football playoff system – for our student-athletes, member institutions and fans. Expansion provides increased opportunities, exposure and value for our member institutions, student-athletes, coaches, football teams and athletic programs. I trust that we will continue to collectively the unresolved matters and move forward for the greater good of college football.”
Clearly that tone wasn't shared amongst all who make those decisions and the College Football Playoff will stay at four teams for the foreseeable future.
