Hop Over To The Great Plains Zoo’s ‘Hug A Bunny’ Event Tomorrow!
When you head over to the Great Plains Zoo at 805 South Kiwanis Avenue, for the 2nd Annual "Hug-A-Bunny" celebration, you and your kids will see and experience a lot more than bunnies! In fact, there will even be two egg hunts!
Tomorrow, (Saturday, April 16, 2022), beginning at 10 AM and going until 4:30 the Hug-A-Bunny event will have you "hip-hopping" from one activity to another. This event is open to everyone, whether you're a member or not.
The schedule of events will keep you and your "littles" so busy, that it might even be a little "hare-raising"!
Here is the schedule for your "egg-citing" day at the Great Plains Zoo:
- 10:15 AM - Morning East Egg Hunt on the Rhino Green
- 10:30 AM - Bunny Storytime in the Education Center (where you'll hear some really "egg-cellent" bunny tails!)
- 11:00 AM - 1st Zookeeper Chat with and about Squirrel Monkeys
- 1:00 PM- 2nd Bunny Storytime in the Education Center
- 1:30 PM - Zookeeper Chat #2 in the Hy-Vee Face-to-Face Farm
- 2:00 PM - Zookeeper Chat #3 in the Snow Monkey exhibit
- 2:30 PM - Bunny Storytime #2 in the Education Center
- 3:00 PM - Afternoon Egg Hunt on the Rino Green
To make this day even more fun, you can get some "eggs-ercise" by strolling around the zoo to check out the nearly 1,000 animals who hang out at the zoo. Then, take a ride on the beautiful Zoo Carousel and maybe have a snack at the ROAR Cafe because they'll both be open during the Hug-A-Bunny festivities!
You can purchase member and non-member tickets on the Great Plains Zoo website.
