The patience of Heart fans in the Tri-State area is being rewarded big time.

After waiting four years for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band to tour again, local lovers of Ann and Nancy Wilson are getting not one, but two chances to see the group in person this summer.

The latest addition to the 'An Evening with Heart' tour is a Saturday, August 23rd show at the Des Moines Civic Center.

Tickets go on sale April 24th.

Earlier this year, Heart announced plans to play in Minnesota on the opening leg of their tour. That show is Saturday, June 7th at Grand Casino in Hinckley.

The formation of Heart dates back to Seattle in 1973.

In the past 50+ years, the band has released 16 studio albums and sold more than 50 million records worldwide. Seven of those albums have reached the Top Ten in America, including Heart's only #1 album, their self-titled 1986 LP.

Nine of their singles have cracked the Top Ten, including two chart-toppers - 'These Dreams' (1986) and 'Alone' (1987).

Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
