It's the time of the year when ghosts and goblins take center stage and rekindle the debate about whether or not they truly exist.

Are you a believer?

If you live in South Dakota, you have good reason to be one.

Tracking Ghost Sightings

The Action Network has analyzed ghost sightings, haunted locations, cemeteries, and other spooky factors to find the most likely place to see a ghost. Considering this, South Dakota came in seventh overall, with a 3.79% odds of seeing a ghost.

That's one for every 2,175 residents of the Mount Rushmore State.

Interesting Findings

According to the numbers, there were 428 ghost sightings in South Dakota last year, in a state that is home to 246 ghost towns and nearly 300 cemeteries per 100,000 people.
