A squirt gun isn't known for slinging lead, it shoots water all over the place and is a lot of fun, as long as you are involved in the squirting and not a random victim as I am often with my kids. Noa couple of models are being recalled because of lead.

Hasbro announced the recall of two models of Nerf Super Soakers because of high levels of lead found in the product. The XP20 and XP30 models were found to have a high amount of lead in the sticker on the tank. From the announcement:

Hazard: The decorative sticker on the water tank of the Super Soaker XP 20 and Super Soaker XP 30 water blasters may contain levels of lead in the ink that exceed regulatory limits. The presence of lead is limited to the decorative sticker affixed to the water tank of the blasters.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the affected product and contact the company for instructions on how to return the product and receive a full refund. Consumers will be asked to unscrew the tank from the blaster and return the tank to the manufacturer using a postage prepaid label, for a full refund.

42,500 units of the XP20 were made and 77,500 units of the XP30 were made. The two Super Soakers were sold exclusively at Target stores from March to July of this year.
