
Sioux Falls Area Golf Course Makes Waves On National Rankings
A Sioux Falls-area golf course has made its way onto a very elite list of venues in America.
Top 50 Honors
The Falls Course at Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa, is ranked 50th on Golfweek’s list of the 'Top Casino Golf Courses in the United States'. The list focuses on courses owned and/or operated by or in conjunction with casinos, using data pulled from Golfweek‘s database of course rankings, which factor in ten different criteria.
Course History
The Falls Course, which opened in 2015, was designed by Rees Jones, who is responsible for more than 100 golf courses worldwide. It measures 7,100 yards and features a 30-foot waterfall that flows into a 12-acre lake.

According to Top100GolfCourses.com:
'Standout holes include par fives at the 7th and 17th (both played to greens benched into the mounding that forms the waterfall feature at the closing hole); the short par four 14th (which crosses a creek in front of the green); and the par three 18th, where severe fall offs around the water-protected home green afford a do-or-die finish to the round.'
