Gene Simmons has taken a shot at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame co-founder Jann Wenner on Twitter. He writes, "Rush learned the effort they'd need to be successful while opening for KISS. Why is KISS not with them in Hall of Fame? Wenner sucks."

Simmons says his melodic bass style is inspired by Paul McCartney and Ron Wood, when the Rolling Stones guitarist was the bassist in The Jeff Beck Group. And he says the Fender Bassman amplifier that he owned in the early '70s also has some big names attached to it. It was once owned by Jack Bruce, and Simmons eventually sold it to Stephen Stills.
