The story of Eric Clapton's career will be told again next year, this time in a two-volume book by Marc Roberty, who has written about "Slowhand" before. Volume One of Eric Clapton Day by Day covers the years 1963 to 1982 and will be published by Backbeat Books on May 14th. Roberty will present Clapton's career in a day-by-day format with details of the bands he was in, his studio work, including details of all released and unreleased recordings, guest appearances on other artists' records and all live appearances. Volume Two, 1983 to the present, will follow in the fall.

Clapton will be in New York Wednesday for the 12/12/12 Hurricane Sandy benefit at Madison Square Garden.
