Salmonella Scare Prompts Recall Of Popular Potato Chips
A potential Salmonella contamination has led to the recall of a number of different potato chip products across America.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says nine Utz products are impacted in connection with a dry milk powder recall, an ingredient in these chip products that may contain Salmonella bacteria.
This milk powder recall also caused a recent public health alert on select frozen pizzas sold at Aldi. While the chips did not test positive for the foodborne illness, Utz is recalling the above products “out of an abundance of caution.”
