Def Leppard’s Collen, Campbell Announce Tours With Side Projects Delta Deep and Last In Line
Def Leppard may have been forced to postpone their winter tour due to Joe Elliott's throat problems, but that hasn't stopped a couple of its members from performing. Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen have announced separate tours with their side projects, Last in Line and Delta Deep.
Last in Line will play their first dates since the death of bassist Jimmy Bain while aboard Def Leppard's Hysteria on the High Seas Cruise back in January. In the wake of his passing, the group decided to continue their tour in support of Heavy Crown as a way of honoring Bain's legacy, but he also admitted that it will be tough for them to remain together without him once those dates are over.
Delta Deep, Collen's blues and soul band with Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DiLeo, will barnstorm across the East Coast with eight club shows in the span of a week and a half, and also have a slot at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, Tenn., in June. This summer, they will release Delta Deep West Coast Live, which was recorded during their West Coast tour this past January.
The dates for both bands are listed below, and you can get complete ticketing information and Last in Line's and Delta Deep's websites. Def Leppard will be back on tour beginning in May with REO Speedwagon and Tesla joining them.
