Craigslist Buyer Got Paid by Fake $100 Bill

Sioux Falls Police are investigating more fake $100 bills showing up at several stores in the city and one of them being passed on to a Craigslist shopper.

"This way weekend we had $100 bills being passed at Walmart. We also had a guy buy a projection television on Craigslist and the suspect ended up paying with a fake $100 bill. The buyer didn't notice it until the sale was done."

Before accepting a $100 bill, Clemens says check it out!

"One thing that is easy for people is take a close look at the money. Some of this money says 'For Motion Picture Use Only.' Others you can tell just by the feel of the bill. It's important for people to take a look at the money they receive---especially if it's a $100 bill."

Clemens says no arrests have yet been made.
