Rock and Roll trailblazer Lita Ford is bringing some Christmas cheer to our area this holiday season with a December show in Sioux Falls.

B1027 and Pepper Entertainment are welcoming Lita's 'Rock & Roll Mistletoe' concert to The Alliance, Friday, December 13.

Born in London in 1958 to a British father and and Italian mother, Lita and her family moved to Long Beach, California when she was in the second grade.

She first picked up a guitar at age 11 and five years later was recruited to join one of the first all-female rock bands, The Runaways, alongside Joan Jett, Sandy West, and Micki Steele.

She stayed with the band until they broke up in 1979 and played lead guitar on their biggest hit, 'Cherry Bomb', in 1976.

She launched her solo career four years later and had her biggest solo success with the 1988 album Lita, which cracked the Top 30 and featured her only Top 40 solo single, 'Kiss Me Deadly', which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lita's highest charting single was also on that album, her duet with Ozzy Osbourne on 'Close My Eyes Forever', which the two co-wrote. It cracked the Top Ten (#8) and sold 500,000 copies in the United States.

She has released eight studio albums over the years, most recently Time Capsule in 2016.

That same year, Lita published her autobiography, Living Like a Runaway: A Memoir.

Ticket for the Sioux Falls show range from $49.50 to $109.50 (plus taxes and fees) and  are available starting Thursday (June 13) with a pre-sale starting at 10:00 AM. General public tickets go on sale Friday (June 14) starting at 10:00 AM.
