Car Crashes Into Sioux Falls Home Overnight

Our news-gathering partner KDLT News is reporting that a Brookings man was arrested for DWI and reckless driving after crashing his car into a house in northeast Sioux Falls.

Just before midnight police were called to the accident on the 800 block of North Leadale Avenue.

They say a 2012 Nissan Sentra, driven by 30-year-old Eric John Robinson, was heading north on Leadale Avenue at a high rate of speed when the car missed a curve, went off the road, struck a tree and launched into the front side of the home.

Robinson didn't receive any injuries in the crash. The 21-year-old passenger was transported by ambulance to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. No one inside the home was injured.
