Chicago Bluesman Buddy Guy was among the honorees at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington DC last night.

The 76-year old Guy was honored along with Led Zeppelin, Dustin Hoffman and David Letterman.

Bonnie Raitt brought the signature smile to Buddy's face when she performed 'Sweet Home Chicago' in his honor with Jeff Beck, Tracy Chapman and others.

Leading up to the show, Guy said in an interview that the honor conjures memories of his blues mentors. “I always take honors like this and look up and say these honors should have went to the guys I learned everything from. People like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Fred McDowell and Son House. I wouldn't be nothin' if it wouldn't be for them,” he said.

The awards show airs on CBS on December 26th.
