No one can say that football isn't in the Bon Jovi blood. Jon and Dorothea Bon Jovi's son, freshman Jesse Bongiovi, has earned a place on Notre Dame's football team as a walk on, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Bongiovi was a star athlete at his Brooklyn, High School, Poly Prep, earning letters in both football and lacrosse. Jon Bon Jovi -- who was originally one of the owners of the arena football league team, the Philadelphia Soul -- played Pop Warner football while growing up in Sayreville, New Jersey.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly spoke about Bongiovi, telling Csnchicago.com, "The kids really like him. They respect him. They don't look at him as a rock star's son. They look at him as a kid that loves Notre Dame and wants to play football and help this team."
