Bob Dylan and special guest Mark Knopfler start their fall tour Friday night in Winnipeg, Canada with dates through November 21st in Brooklyn, New York. This is the follow-up to their tour last fall in Europe, which featured Knopfler sitting in with Dylan's band on most of the dates. Knopfler will open each show with a 70-minute set backed by his seven-piece band. Both Dylan and Knopfler are touring behind new albums -- Tempest for Dylan and Privateering for Knopfler, which unfortunately has not been released in the U.S. as he is having a dispute with his label, Warner Brothers. Knopfler played on Dylan's 1979 album, Slow Train Coming, and produced his 1983 release, Infidels.
