Black Sabbath is being honored by a female hockey goaltender in a Massachusetts recreational hockey league. Liz Conner has had a Sabbath-themed mask painted for her.

She says, "I asked specifically for the picture of Henry (the flying devil logo) on the forehead, based on alternative CD art for The Devil You Know, and the band name on the chin. My only other stipulation was that the mask not focus 100 percent on Ozzy. Tony Iommi's riffs are what drew me to Sabbath, and I wanted to make sure he was included somewhere."

Conner isn't the first goalie to pay tribute to a musical act.

•The mask of Chris Mason of the NHL's Nashville Predators pays tribute to Iron Maiden.
•Former Philadelphia Flyers goalkeepers Sean Burke and Robert Esche had a number of artists painted on their masks -- Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Slash and the four Led Zeppelin symbols on Burke's, and Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Junior and Kid Rock on Esche's.
•Ed Reed of the Florida Everglades of the East Coast Hockey League has "Zepp" painted in Led Zeppelin's signature lettering on his mask, along with Father Time from the inside cover of Led Zeppelin Four, and bassist John Paul Jones's symbol of a circle over three interlocking ovals.
