Rock icon Alice Cooper was in Sioux Falls Wednesday (October 10) to help launch the recently announced Brennan Rock N' Roll Academy.

The 6,000 square foot academy will be open exclusively to Boys & Girls Club members.

The academy is the brainchild of Dollar Loan Center founder Chuck Brennan, a Sioux Falls native. Brennan says the center will be a place for kids to learn to play guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and how to sing.

Cooper is a friend of Brennan's and opened his long-dreamed Rock Teen Center in Phoenix just last week.

Cooper says the best way to get kids off the streets is to give them a guitar and get them in a band. It's worked for a large number of my friends, and with Brennan's gift, it will continue to work in Sioux Falls, SD.

Alice did his hit School's Out with Brennan Rock N Roll Academy ambassadors Kory & The Fireflies.
