The Twin Cities show is Sunday, November 12 at Target Center.

The next night, Monday, November 13, Sandler plays Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

General public tickets for both shows go on sale Friday (September 15) at 12:00 PM CT.

Sandler, born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire,  received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor earlier this year and in his career has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, five Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

He first began performing stand-up comedy at age 17 and four years later, in 1987, he launched his TV career, playing Smitty on The Cosby Show and later the Stud Boy or Trivia Delinquent on the MTV game show Remote Control.

His film debut came in Going Overboard in 1989.

In 1990, at the recommendation of Dennis Miller, Sandler was hired as a writer for Saturday Night Live, and became a cast member the following year.

It was there that he broke out as a star with songs like 'The Thanksgiving Song', 'The Chanukah Song', and 'Lunch Lady Land'.

He was fired from SNL in 1995.

Sandler formed Happy Madison Productions and over a three-year stretch starred in Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), The Wedding Singer (1998), and The Waterboy (1998).

Over the years, he has also released five comedy albums.
