AARP Free Movie Night Is Back at Sioux Falls State Theatre
You don't get a lot of opportunities to enjoy a night of free entertainment these days, but you'll have your chance later this month in downtown Sioux Falls.
October 16 is the next Monday Movie at the State Theater on Phillips Avenue. Showtime is 7:00 PM.
The event is sponsored by AARP South Dakota.
Just in time for Halloween, this month's film is Hocus Pocus.
The 1993 movie, starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, follows a trio of witches who are inadvertently resurrected by a teenage boy in Salem, Massachusetts, on Halloween night.
The film grossed $45.4 million at the box office and spawned a 2002 sequel, Hocus Pocus 2, featuring the return of Midler, Parker, and Najimy to the lead roles.
The Sioux Falls showing is open to AARP members and non-members alike. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance.
AARP sponsors the Monday Movie every May through October.
