Where to Watch 4th of July Fireworks in Southeast Minnesota [2024 GUIDE]

The 4th of July celebration in Albert Lea kicks off with the 3rd of July parade. The parade begins at the Fairgrounds, travels south on bridge ave, turns west on Fountain street, and turns south on St. Mary Ave, ending at Central Park. On July 4th, Bayside Skiers Ski show at Fountain Lake at 1pm and fireworks at dusk.

The annual Gopher 50 Charity Late Model Race is July 4-6. July 4th there will be a huge FIREWORKS show following the races.

The 2024 Dover, MN fireworks show is on July 3, 2024. Prior to the fireworks there will be ice cream treats at the fire hall at 7pm.

Eitzen’s 4th of July Family Fun Fest is an all-weekend event, with tractor pulls, demo derbies, a parade, food and beer tents, a baseball tournament, fireworks, and so much more!

The Elysian Area Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Celebration is back in 2024 with a weekend filled with bands, fireworks, kids activities, and food trucks. The City of Elysian fireworks show will be shot from Tustin Park on Sunday, July 2nd starting at 10 pm. The Grand Parade down Main Street will be on Monday, July 4th at 2pm.

Harmony's 2024 4th of July celebration starts on July 3rd and ends July 6th. Enjoy food, drinks, petting zoo, outdoor movies, toad races, fireworks, and more in the biggest little town in Southeast Minnesota! Grand Parade at 3 PM featuring an airplane flyover and the Rochester Caledonia Bagpipers. Live entertainment from Sister Luv starts at 4:30 PM. Fireworks will be launched from North Park at dusk.

The big Mazeppa Daze celebration is the second weekend in July. The parade will be on Friday, July 12th at 7 pm followed by a mini fireworks display at dusk. The large Mazeppa Daze fireworks show will be on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at dusk.

New Prague's 2024 Independence Day celebration is on Wednesday, July 3. They will have various food trucks on site also. This event is organized by the American Legion Post 45)

The Northfield fireworks display will be held on July 4th. at Northfield Middle School. Viewing areas near the fireworks display include Northfield Middle School parking lot and south fields, Tyler Park, and the fields north of Jefferson Parkway.

The annual Owatonna Early Edition Rotary Club fireworks display is on for 2024! The fireworks display is funded by donations from the public.

Rochester’s independence day celebration is on for 2024 with Fireworks, music, and more! Entertainment starts at 6:00 PM. This annual event is free and open to the public. Live music begins at 6 p.m., followed by a virtual pet parade and a video presentation by Jean Prokott, Rochester’s Poet Laureate. The event concludes with a fireworks display at 10 p.m. Mitch Stevenson will emcee the event and local food and beverage vendors will be on site to provide concessions. 

The popular virtual pet parade is back! Event organizers are inviting the public to submit photos of their pets dressed in patriotic garb, fun costumes, or just being their adorable selves. Photos will be publicly displayed on the 4^th Fest stage video screen from 7:00 p.m. to 8:25 p.m. send photos to publicmusic@rochestermn.gov by Wednesday, June 26.

Stewartville’s Fireworks Show will be on the evening of July 4^th, as part of their Summerfest activities. The festivities start that evening with a Grand Parade at 6:30 pm, followed by fireworks in Bear Cave park at dusk. July 3rd is the Summerfest Street Dance at 5:30 pm.

Treasure Island Casino in Welch, MN is throwing an epic star-spangled bash complete with food trucks, spectacular fireworks, family-friendly activities, and the largest fireworks display in Southern Minnesota.  The Hype will perform some of the biggest ‘80s hits from Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, Bon Jovi, and Aerosmith.
