- Customers are requested to clear snow and ice from pathways - including the entrance and exit from curbside boxes - so the carrier can approach the delivery point and not have to back up.
- Walkways to your door-side delivery point must be cleared and maintained to avoid falls.
- Steps are a hazard. Please keep them clear of ice and snow accumulation and in good repair.
Mail carriers are asked to use their best judgment on whether they can safely deliver in adverse weather conditions.
Did you know that mail delivery drivers are not allowed to dismount if the mailbox is blocked?
But alas, nothing lasts forever. Springtime should be here...someday.
