World Of Outlaws At Huset’s
Wednesday night (July 3rd) it’s ‘The Greatest Show On Dirt’ with the STP World Of Outlaws at Huset’s Speedway East of Sioux Falls, SD.
Huset’s has a long time relationship with the premier racing series. The World of Outlaws were formed in 1978. Huset’s began hosting the organization’s shows in 1983.
A number of the top drivers of the series since it’s inception actually came from Huset’s. Either getting their start there or racing at the facility regularly in the early part of their career.
5 time defending World Of Outlaw champion Donnie Schatz began racing at Huset’s as a teenager. Former sprint car great Doug Wolfgang drove at Huset’s when his career was launching.
The track has been a favorite of the World of Outlaws as well as it’s fans. People look forward to that special date when the touring series makes it’s stop at Huset’s.
That special, much anticipated event is set to run Wednesday night. And the weather is absolutely perfect with sunshine and 85 degrees.
This year’s event has the makings to be the biggest one ever in the track’s rich history. NASCAR champion Tony Stewart is registered for competition with his Mobil 1 number 14 sprint car.
Stewart is a great sprint car driver going up against the best in the business. 20 time World of Outlaw champion Steve Kinser, known as the ‘King Of The Outlaws’, will be there. Plus the master veteran Sammy Swindell, Donnie Schatz, Craig Dollanski, Joey Saldana and the list goes on.
Also there are the drivers that currently race at Huset’s regularly today that have been victorious against The World Of Outlaws here on their home track. We have interviewed a couple of the greats and you can see right here what they had to say. Check out Mark Dobmeier. Also see here what 7 time and defending track champion Terry McCarl says.
It will be definitely a show to see. Racing begins at 8pm with the gates opening at 4pm. Tickets are available at the track.
