The woman whose body was found Wednesday morning in a parking ramp in downtown Sioux Falls has been identified as Irma Jacqueline Swiftbird, a 46-year-old transient.

Her body was found around 6:00 AM Wednesday by a security service that was patrolling the ramp next to City Hall.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens says the cause of her death isn't known yet, and he says investigators are waiting for the coroner's report:

Clemens says investigators still don't know if anyone was with Swiftbird before she died. Her body was found in a glass-enclosed stairwell on the top level of the ramp at 132 North Dakota Avenue.

Police have said she was not dressed for cold weather.
