Just days after Whitesnake drummer Brian Tichy broke his collarbone in a mountain biking accident comes word that he’s quit the band to concentrate on S.U.N. – Something Unto Nothing, his band with singer Sass Jordan.

Whitesnake singer David Coverdale says, “We are truly sad to see [Brian] go, but, we fully support the pursuit of his ambitions and sincerely wish him well. His fearless drumming brought a relentless driving edge and to our music that we fully embraced. Good luck, Brian… May the S.U.N. shine brightly on you.”

Tichy has also kept the beat for Billy Idol, Ozzy Osbourne and Foreigner.
