A Sioux Falls man is facing additional charges after he allegedly attacked his public defender.

According to the Minnehaha County Sheriff's office, 34-year-old Kelly John Lange, 34, was in a conference room at the courthouse when he lit up his court-appointed attorney.

Lange didn’t have to go far to be booked at the Minnehaha County Jail on charges of third or subsequent offense of assault within ten years, a class 6 felony.

Ironically, the sheriff's office says Lange was in court because he had failed to complete anger management classes from a previous assault. Only minor injuries resulted from the incident.
